Adding personality to your home decor with pictures is a fun way to bring a little joy into the daily life of your family. My children LOVE to look at pictures of themselves, and there have been studies that have shown that it helps to boost their self-confidence, at the same time. I love to share all kinds of ideas on my site for DIY ways to decorate with pictures in your home, but today, I’ll share some of the favorites that I’ve created in my home. My name is Kristen Duke, and I share my creativity, recipes, and DIY projects over at Capturing Joy. Back to the projects, here are 4 DIY ways to decorate in my home from our recent family pictures. First, I turned metallic pictures into DIY canvas. These are 16×20 canvas I got at a craft store, and I adhered metallic prints to them with spray glue. There were too many great pictures from this photo shoot, so I included my 10 favorites! In our Gameroom photo display, I used pictures from our family paint fight, with unfinished whimsical wood frames. I love the color and fun, not to mention the memories of a fun family adventure. Next, I used some vintage windows as frames for family pictures on the beach. I love how it turned out! Lastly, this giant picture frame sits in my office, the background is just a piece of fabric stapled to the wall, and the giant frame was my neighbors garbage! There you have a little snippet into my home, and how I decorate with pictures, and bring variety from room to room. So many DIY ways to decorate picture displays for your home, which one do you love best? I’d love you to hop on over to my little spot on the web, to see more photography tips such as How to start a photography business, how to capture natural smiles with kids, and how to decide what camera to buy! Besides photography, I love to share our family favorite recipes (Andes Mint Cookies and Fudgy Vanilla Brownie), travel adventures (Disney World tips and First Cruise tips), Printables, Parties, and even my LOVE story! I’d love to have you follow along on your favorite social media site if you’d like to see more! This entry was posted in Go Green by admin. Bookmark the permalink.
