The entire team of construction workers work hard on kindergarten “Veseljko” to finish the facility reconstruction in due time.

The reconstruction of kindergarten “Veseljko” in Obrenovac is progressing rapidly. The entire team of construction workers are working hard every day in order to finish the reconstruction of the facility in due time. Since the entire area of the kindergarten was flooded, many things are yet to be done; construction, mechanical and electrical works need to be carried out at the same time as the works on heating installations, water supplies and sewage systems.

During the period from September 22nd to October 10th, the new cement screed was poured throughout the facility and most of the external PVC carpentry was placed; access ramp from the gate to the yard was constructed, the foundations for the entry ramp to the kindergarten were set out and completely new access was built for food distribution vehicles. In addition to that, new partition walls were set, and suspended ceilings were installed in the kitchen.

After several weeks of hard work, we were happy to see that the distribution system of fire hydrants was completely installed throughout the entire facility, as well as water supply and sewage distribution system in the kitchen. Additionally, a brand new kitchen ventilation system is to be installed.

Works on the new central heating distribution system reached their final stage and cleaning, disinfection and painting of all the radiators were finished.

Regarding the electrical installations, the underground lightning protection system was repaired, in-floor cable distribution system was installed, and new power cables were placed in the kindergarten and nursery section of the facility.

The goal of the Foundation is to make this facility nicer than ever, and to turn it to an enjoyable and safe place for children in Obrenovac.
