The Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society (BMDS) proudly presents its latest production Back Words: A Play by David Schubach opening on Thursday, September 29th.

If you could see the story of a husband and wife unfolding in reverse, starting with old age – all the joys and the train wrecks – would you want to know what is going to happen earlier, to watch the inevitable, to hope for a different ending? Or rather, beginning? Each time this couple gets younger we learn more about their journey forwards. No surprises, right? …wrong.

Back Words looks backwards through the life of a couple as they confront everyday living with equal measures of good humour, stinging barbs and casual panic; and the unexpected way they cope with a family tragedy. The show is rated PG-13.

Showtime is at 8pm each night and the show will run from Thursday, September 29th until Saturday, October 1st and then from Thursday, October 6th until Saturday, October 8th.

Tickets are $25 and available from www.pTix.bm.

The BNG will use the ‘See, Think, Wonder’ strategy showing teachers how to use art as inspiration to deliver numeracy, literacy, politics and social issues. The workshop will encourage teachers of all year levels to learn how to deliver and link art with other subjects and classroom curriculum.

Activities in the workshop will include a “See, Think, Wonder” session with 1-2 artworks followed by a reading and writing passage on Mary Prince and then a debate on contemporary social issues revolved around the 2016 Bermuda Biennial theme Memories of the Present.

The cost is $5. MoED Educators may register through the BUT website at www.but.bm
