The Florida Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on
Education met in the state capital to pass Senate Bill 732. It is the Stanley
G. Tate Florida Prepaid College Program. The program aims to provide the
Florida Prepaid College Board predictable and more affordable tuition costs.
The top payment for state university registration, differential, local and
dormitory fees is capped. The Senate President Don Gaetz says he hopes this
bill will be able to provide families with a dream to send their child to a
higher educational facility.
