Sara Azani is no stranger to New York Fashion Week and the hustle and bustle that comes along with attending multiple fashion shows in a day, networking with fashion’s VIPs and going to the hottest fashion parties. Azani’s popular fashion blog, Style MBA, is a true representation of what living the glamorous life looks like, and one of the perks of such fashionable lifestyle is attending NYFW every season. We caught up with Azani to see what a day at NYFW looks like from a local fashion insider’s perspective. Plus, she gave us some tips on  looking fabulous all day long while constantly on-the-go.

What do you do to prepare for a big event like NYFW?

Planning outfits is key. I arranged all my outfits on a rolling rack to help with packing. It also helps to travel with a NYFW partner in crime. It makes the days and madness of NYFW all the more fun.

Any specific fashion or beauty routines?

Hydrate! I always carry water and a protein bar with me during show days since we are constantly on-the-go during NYFW with little time to plan for full meals.

What were some of your fashion and beauty essentials for this fashion week?

Always pack makeup wipes and dry shampoo. After a long day of shows and events, the last thing you have energy for is washing your face or hair—makeup wipes and dry shampoo were big saviors for me this season. Wear comfy shoes. Yes, it’s great being photographed in those killer Alaias, but your feet will not be happy with you in the end. Find a nice balance between comfort and look.

Which designer runway collections did you most enjoy and why?

I loved the Tommy Hilfiger show this season. Every season it’s a huge production, and this time it was no different. From sandy floors to beach waves, the show emulated a Rastafarian vibe, making each person in attendance dream of their next vacation. Sister stars Bella and Gigi Hadid stole the show with a huge splash at the finale.
