With a nip in the air, leaves swirling down from their branches and a distinctly crisp smell outdoors, it is obvious fall is upon us. What could be more enticing than a fall festival to start the season out right, full of pumpkins, apples, cider and hayrides, those enticing activities that allow you to gladly pack up your beach towels and start unpacking your sweater collection? Cox Farms is ready to deliver starting Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21-22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. with their Fall Festival Preview Weekend. Besides hayrides and an abundance of pumpkins, there will be ample activities for all members of the family to enjoy, including numerous slides, one of which is a 1969 firetruck turned slide, games, food, tunnels, animals and market. New additions this year include the extreme jumper, allowing participants to do a single or tandem jump up to 18 feet in the air (available at night/Fields of Fear) as well as the Zombie Zoo for the zombie aficionado. Visit the Cox Farms website and sign up to become a Cox Farms member or a Fear Fanatic and receive added discounts, offers and updates for upcoming events including the preview weekend. If you can’t attend the preview weekend, don’t fret, as Cox Farms Opening Weekend starts Sept. 28 with festivities still going strong.
