Tamil Nadu, India – Indian Bank Details has launched a website that lets anyone search for information on any bank branch in the country. The site includes a list of all the banks, or visitors can search using a number of metrics. Searching is simple, as there are four drop down menus. Visitors can select from a list of bank names, the districts they are located in, their state, and individual branch.

The website offers even more tools for searching. With Indian Bank Details, visitors can go to the IFSC section to search using this code, to find the bank they are looking for. The Indian financial System Code is alphanumeric and enables people find branches within the Electronic Funds Settlement Systems. The Magnetic Ink Character Recognition Code, or MICR, can be searched as well. The code is used to verify and process checks and financial documents.

In addition to the IFSC code, People can also search using the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, or SWIFT, code. The standard format of identifier codes, approved by the ISO, is 8-11 characters, which denote the bank/institution, country, location, and branch code. Also, the Postal Index Number, or PIN, code, is six digits long and represents regions, sub-regions, districts, and post offices. A tool for searching via this identifier is also available.

The “Latest Updates” section features a blog that covers popular topics on banking and using the technology the website is related to. It extends to much more than searching by Bank IFSC Code. Visitors can also choose to follow the company on Facebook, Twitter, or Google Plus using the available links.
