Sacramento, CA – Folsom Bike/Cervélo women’s team will enter its second year of operations in 2014, building its roster with a solid core of returning riders who helped make 2013 a breakout season. The team adds new riders to bolster its squad with the intent of maintaining its level of excellence for years to come.
Headlining the returning group will be 2013 U.S. Masters Road National Championship silver medalist Marley Smith. Smith will be joined by returning riders Danielle Haulman, Claire Morgan, Judy Wexler, and Diane Moug. The riders delivered top performances in 2013, including victories at Copperopolis, Sea Otter, Dunnigan Hills and Folsom Classic.
For 2014, proven powerhouse Heather Van Sickle joins the squad, as well as Sofia Marin and Heather Lipana as exciting new additions.
With an eye on the future, the Team has created a development squad consisting of returning rider Susannah Breen, and new adds Emily Setzer, Bianca Grecu and Kristen Fauria.
“I am really looking forward to racing with the talent we have added to our roster this year,” said Smith. “We have amazing sponsors and support and I’m looking forward to another great season.”
