Bioderma Micellar Water is a makeup artist cult product. I’ve known about Bioderma makeup remover since my first days working as a makeup artist in Singapore. In fact, it was during a body painting demo, hosted by Bioderma where I got to see it in action, how gentle and effective it was. The demo I saw, was done by my friend Larry Yeo, a top Singaporean makeup artist. The amount of makeup was enormous and this fabulous Bioderma Micellar water literally cleansed every particle, glitter and grease paint included. Needless to say, I was instantly a fan. Every New York Fashion Week when I am working, I notice the large bottles being used by my peers more and more. There are also the Sensibio H2O makeup remover wipes too!
If you google Bioderma, it is very popular all over, and slowly it is making its way into the USA market. Here is a fun fact, one bottle of the Sensibio H20 formula is sold around the world every two seconds. For those new to the name, Bioderma is a French skincare brand, sold at drugstores in Europe and parts of Asia. The ingredients of this famous makeup remover are natural and safe, formulated without any parabens, alcohol, fragrance or harsh chemicals. Each product helps strengthen your skin and restore its natural balance and pH level.
Upon my return to the USA in 2013, I made a giant pharmacie purchase in London. I stocked up for a solid two years before returning. I love both Bioderma’s Sensibio H2O and Bioderma Hydrabio H2O. The main difference between the two (though they are very similar in my opinion), is that Bioderma’s Hydrabio is made for people with dry skin like myself. On the other hand, Bioderma Sensibio H2O is more soothing and made for sensitive skin types. Both products are great, I like Bioderma’s Hydrabio more in the winter, as my skin is way more dry and use Bioderma Sensibio H2O for the rest of the year.
