The Students Before Profits Award was created to recognize nonprofit universities and college offering degrees that put students before profits and education before the bottom line.  For our ranking of the 2017 Online Bachelor’s in History, we have selected accredited online History programs from noted nonprofit colleges and universities with lower than typical tuition costs and ranked them by affordability.

Students who choose to pursue an education in History are entering a degree program that will afford them a great understanding of liberal arts as well as provide them with an in-depth understanding of our past and how our society has arrived to where it is today.   The beauty of studying a degree program like History is that due to its inclusion under the Liberal Arts banner, students will receive a vast array of applicable learning and skills that can be applied to many different jobs.  These degree programs selected will provide students with indispensable skills and knowledge through flexible distance education curriculum that can be molded to fit the needs of the student.

Through the pursuit of a Bachelor’s in History, students will be able to enter the workforce with a vast set of skills and teachings that can be applicable to many different jobs.  This flexibility within the degrees usage allows students to pursue a multitude of different careers.   Due to the heavy emphasis on reading, writing, analytical skills, argumentation, persuasion and the interpretation of texts, students can find themselves in jobs that leverage any one of these many skills.  Some students find themselves working in advertising, others find jobs within the field of journalism, others work as historians, or educators.  By gaining a Bachelor’s of History students are not pigeonholed into one specific career path and can apply what they have learned to a wide array of career choices.

#1. University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Established in 1885, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is now the largest school in the city of Milwaukee, and the second largest school in the state of Wisconsin.  Known initially as the Wisconsin State Normal School, the school operated in the city of Milwaukee until 1955 at which point it was combined with the University of Wisconsin-Extension’s campus.  The city of Milwaukee believed that by creating a great public university it would enable Milwaukee to become a greater city.  Now, the University of Milwaukee enrolls over 27,000 students across its downtown campus.  With its Carnegie Highest Research Activity classification and 191 degree programs to choose from, the University of Wisconsin is one of the state’s premier research universities.  University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a public institution.

Program Overview

Delivered through the University of Wisconsin System’s eCampus, the Bachelor of Arts in History degree program is designed and instructed by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukeee campus.  This program is designed to allow students the flexibility to pursue a degree entirely online. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee hopes that students in their program will learn the various cultural perspectives of our human history and teach them to be inquisitive of the past in order to better understand problems of the present date.  It is noted that while the program is offered entirely online, students will need to pay close attention in their planning of their to make sure that they are designing their schedule to take advantage of the times that the classes are offered.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#2. Nicholls State University

Named after Francis T. Nicholls, a former Louisiana governor and member of the Louisiana Supreme Court, Nicholls State University is located in Thibodaux, Louisiana.  About fifty miles outside of New Orleans, Nicholls State University sits along the Bayou Lafourche on what was once the historic Acadia Plantation.  The school offers students over thirty different degree programs to choose from, including one of the countries oldest Culinary Arts programs.  Currently, the school enrolls just over 6,000 students across its various programs and is a member of the University of Louisiana System.  Nicholls State University is a public institution.

At Nicholls State University, student can enroll in the Online Bachelor of Arts in History program. This program of study is offered entirely online, allowing students the flexibility to tailor their class schedule to their current schedule.  Students will study modern America, Europe and Asia, and will learn to think critically and apply the findings of our past to problems of the modern world.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#3. West Texas A&M University

Started as one of seven of Texas’ state-funded teacher colleges, West Texas A&M University has grown to become an institution of the Texas panhandle.  Established in 1910 by the Texas State House of Representatives as the West Texas State Normal College, the school was created to teach teachers for the state of Texas.  Over time, the school grew to encompass more degree programs, and finally was renamed West Texas A&M University in 1993 when it joined the Texas A&M University system.  Located in Canyon, Texas, West Texas A&M University is located just thirteen miles of the Amarillo metropolitan area.  Currently the school enrolls almost 10,000 students and offers jus under 100 different degree programs to choose from.  West Texas A&M University is a public institution.

At West Texas A&M University, students have the option to pursue either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in History though the university’s Online History program.  The program focuses on understanding the complexity of human cultures and the way that various cultures have shaped modern society.  Students will learn to hone their writing and reading skills, as well as becoming more analytical and stronger critical thinkers.  This program is offered entirely online, entirely on-campus, or a mixture of the two.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#4. Columbia College

Opened in 1851, Columbia College was established by state legislature as the Christian Female College to provide women with higher education.  At the time of its establishment, Columbia College was the first women’s college west of the Mississippi River.  It wasn’t until the year 1970 that Columbia College changed its name and became coeducational.   The school continues to retain its covenant with the Christian Church.  Located in the city of Columbia, Missouri, the school has been named by The Princeton Review as a “Best Midwestern University”.  The school currently enrolls approximately 2,100 students, and offers over seventy-five different programs of study. Columbia College is a private institution.

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in History degree program offered by Columbia College is offered entirely online through the schools distance education program. By being offered entirely through distance education, students will be able to create schedules that best fit their current needs.  Students in this program will participate in a survey of the world’s various cultures and will learn how to apply historical happenings to issues of current day.  By  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#5. Southern New Hampshire University

In 1932, Southern New Hampshire University was established by husband and wife, Harry and Gertrude Shapiro.  At the time, the school was known as the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Secretarial Science.  Located between the towns of Hooksett and Manchester in New Hampshire, Southern New Hampshire University enrolls 3,000 students at its on-campus facilities.  But even greater than that is Southern New Hampshire University’s online student body which tops out at over 60,000 students, making it one of the largest.  Both the online and on-campus students are able to enroll in any of the hundreds of degree programs offered by the university.  Southern New Hampshire University is a private institution.

Through Southern New Hampshire University’s Online Bachelor of Arts in History degree program, students will learn about the events that shaped our modern society.  Students will focus on the application of historical teachings towards modern-day problems and will learn valuable analytical and critical thinking skills.  The program will also focus on providing a strong liberal arts education as well as teach students how to communicate more effectively and engage with the world.  This program of study is offered entirely online allowing students to craft a schedule that best fits their needs.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#6. Granite State College

One of the four schools in the University System of New Hampshire, Granite State College was established to offer flexible education options for adults.   Established in 1972 in Concord, Granite State College still remains in its initial place of founding, but has expanded to nine other campuses, as well as its online campus.  Part of Granite State College’s mission is to provide adults with excellent, entirely online degree programs, to allow adults and working professionals the necessary flexibility to pursue further education.  The school offers over fifty different degree programs, many of which can be completed entirely online.  Granite State College is a public institution

This program is designed to have students examine different time periods, nations, and cultures to discover trends and patterns.  Heavy emphasis will be given towards honing reading and writing skills, as well as learning how to think analytically.  Students will also be taught necessary research methods and writing conventions that are relevant to the study and discourse of history.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#7. University of Maine at Presque Isle

Located in the largest city in Aroostook County, University of Maine at Presque Isle sits as the focal point of the city of Presque Isle.  Established in 1903, the University of Maine at Presque Isle was established as a teacher preparation school under the name Aroostook State Normal College.  The school underwent four different name changes until it was finally named the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 1971 after it had joined the University of Maine system.  Now the school offers approximately sixty different degree programs for its student body of over 1,600 students to choose from.  University of Maine at Presque Isle is a public institution.

Program Overview

The Online Bachelor’s of History program at University of Maine at Presque Isle is offered entirely online through the university’s distance education program.  The course follows the same curriculum found on-campus and also offers students all the same academic support.  Focusing on contemporary conflicts, ancient cultures, American and European history as well as Native American history, and historical methods, students will gain great insight into the history of the world and the skills needed to best interpret and understand modern society.   A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#8. University of Illinois Springfield

Opening its doors in 1969 as Sangamon State University, the University of Illinois Springfield was established by the Illinois General Assembly.  It wasn’t until 1995 that the school was incorporated into the the University of Illinois system that it was renamed to the University of Illinois Springfield.  Located in the city of Springfield, the University of Illinois Springfield is currently home to a student body of nearly 5,500 students.  Currently, the University of Illinois Springfield offers its students nearly fifty different degree programs, much of which are available online. Made available through the University of Illinois Springfield’s distance education program, the Bachelor of Arts in History degree program is available entirely online for students.  Offered year-round and online, students are afforded the most flexible means to pursue a degree in history from the University of Illinois Springfield.  The degree program is offered in three different concentrations: American History, European and World History, and Public History.  Students will learn valuable reading and writing skills, as well as critical thinking skills crucial to a strong liberal arts education in history.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program

A major space-grant university, the University of Central Florida is one of the state’s, and America’s, largest public research universities.  The school was founded in 1963 by an act of the Florida Legislature under the name Florida Technological University with the mission of aiding the U.S. Space Program and the nearby Kennedy Space Station.  The school was later renamed to the University of Central Florida in the year 1978.  Now the school enrolls over 63,000 students making it the largest public university in the United State by both total enrollment and undergraduate enrollment.  The school offers over 200 different degree programs to choose from many of which are offered through distance education.  University of Central Florida is a public institution.

At the University of Central Florida, students can enroll in an entirely online Bachelor of Arts in History degree program.  The program requires absolutely no visits to the University of Central Florida campus and focuses on cultivating many of the necessary skills desirable to a History major.  Students will learn to sharpen their reading, writing, and analytical skills when examine historical information.  They will learn how to apply the dealings of the pass to issues of the present and future.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#10. Liberty University

Established in 1971 by Jerry Falwell, the Senior Past of Thomas Road Baptist Church, the makings of Liberty University were formed.  Initially named the Lynchburg Baptist College, it was later renamed to the Liberty Baptist College in 1976 and then later renamed once more to Liberty University in 1984.  Ever since, Liberty University has remained a cornerstone of the small, rural town of Lynchburg, Virginia.   While still open and accepting of all religious denominations, the school still maintains the rich Christian heritage and traditions that Liberty University was initially founded on.  Now, the school enrolls over 15,000 at their campus, but is also home to a staggering 100,000 students through its online presence.  Liberty University is a private institution.

Students who choose to enroll in Liberty University’s Bachelor of Science in History degree program, will be able to take their courses entirely online without ever having to step foot on the Liberty University campus.  Students are also not required to enter the program with any prior college credits and can receive all required 120 credits through the online program.  Through this degree program, students will learn about American History, focusing on topics from the Civil War, through World War II, all the way up to more contemporary issues.  Students will also learn to identify major American economic trends and learn to apply historical precedent to problems faced by modern America.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#11. Regent University

Opened in 1977, Regent University is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  When founded by Pat Robertson, Regent University was initially named the Christian Broadcasting Network University and was later renamed Regent University in 1990.  The name is in reference to a regent who is somebody who”represents Christ, our Sovereign”.  Founded with a rich Christian heritage, the school is welcoming to those of all religions. Regent University is known for its robust online education program that has its roots back in 1997 when the school developed an online Master of Arts program in Business and Leadership.  Now the school enrolls just over 6,100 students and offers seventy courses of study.  Regent University is a private institution.

The Bachelor of Arts in History degree program at Regent University is offered entirely online through the school’s distance education platform.  Students who enroll in the degree program will be able to tailor their class schedule around and pre-existing commitments, allowing for a flexible education.  This degree program focuses on teaching students the necessary critical thinking, research, problem solving, and persuasive communication skills needed to excel in many different careers including journalism or government.   A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

In 1931, the University of Louisiana at Monroe opened as Ouachita Parish Junior College.  The school was later elevated to university status in 1969, and was renamed to University of Louisiana at Monroe in the year 1999.  In 2002, the school underwent a massive campaign to revitalize and renew the campus.  Located in the city of Monroe, the University of Louisiana at Monroe sprawls across the downtown area.  Currently, the University of Louisiana at Monroe enrolls almost 9,000 students.  Students at the  University of Louisiana at Monroe are offered over forty different degree programs to choose from. University of Louisiana at Monroe is a public institution.

Offered as part of the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s eULM platform for distance education, the Bachelor of Arts in History degree program is designed from the ground up to be taken entirely online. Students in this degree program will experience a curriculum that specializes in the history of the United States, as well as covering world history.  Through the program students will learn valuable skills in historical research and analysis.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#13. Oregon State University

With designations from Carnegie with “Highest research activity” status, Oregon State University is one of the largest public research universities in the northwest.  Established as a community school back in 1856, the school soon became the Corvallis College.  Shortly after the receipt of a land grant through the First Morill Act, the school was renamed Corvallis State Agricultural College and it began to grant degrees.  It wasn’t until 1961 that the school’s name was changed to Oregon State University. Still located in the city of Corvallis, Oregon State University has grown to enroll almost 26,000 students.  The school offers more than 200 different degree programs to choose from.  Oregon State University is a public institution.

At Oregon State University, students are able to enroll in both a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Science in History through the school’s eCampus.  This program is designed to be taken entirely online, allowing students the ability to plan their class schedule around their current day-to-day lives.  Students in this program will study patterns and relationship from history to better understand contemporary global issues.  Critical thinking, writing, and argumentation skills will be honed and developed through this course.  A minimum of 180 credits are required to complete this program.

Founded in 1879, Sam Houston State University is the third oldest public university in the state of Texas.  It is also one of the oldest schools for teaching west of the Mississippi River.  Sam Houston State University is located in the city of Huntsville for which the politician Sam Houston is buried, for whom the school is named after. Sam Houston State University is part of the Texas State University System, and enrolls approximately 21,000 students across its downtown campus.  Students in the school have nearly 130 different degree programs to choose from, twenty of which are available online.  Sam Houston State University is a public institution.

Students enrolled in Sam Houston State University’s History program are able to choose from either a Bachelor of Science in History or a Bachelor of Arts in History.  Both programs are available entirely online, and students are asked to include a foreign language and a minor when pursuing the Bachelor of Arts.  Students in the program will complete a survey of American history as well as history of the world.  Through this program students will hone reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#15. Ottawa University

Formed in 1865 by Reverend Jotham Meeker, Ottawa University was started to teach young children of the Ottawa Indian tribe.  From the schools beginnings, Ottawa University was affiliated with the Baptist church and still remains so to this day, but is still welcoming and accepting of all religious affiliations and backgrounds.  Located in the city of Ottawa, Kansas, Ottawa University currently enrolls approximately 630 students on its main campus and additional 7,000 more students at its online campus.  The school currently offers its students over sixty different degree programs to pursue.  Ottawa University is a private institution

Known for it’s large online campus, Ottawa University offers students a Bachelor of Arts in History degree program that is entirely online – requiring no visits to campus. Students entering this program are able to take the entire thing from start to finish online through Ottawa University or can transfer up to 80 credit hours.  Through this program students will learn about many topics including American Women’s History, Religion in American Culture, Global Issues in Historical Perspective, an many more.  Students will also learn to strengthen their reading and writing skills, as well as persuasive and argumentative techniques.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#16. University of Maryland University College

To provide people with a means to continue their education and professional development, the University of Maryland University College was opened in 1947.  Following the traditional meaning of the world college, a school dedicated to professional development, the University of Maryland University College received its name.  Now the school has grown to become one of the largest distance educators.  Students are offered over 120 different degree programs to enroll in while attending the university.  University of Maryland University College enrolls 90,000 students worldwide.  University of Maryland University College is a public institution.

Students enrolled in University of Maryland University College’s Online History Bachelor’s degree program are afforded the ability to pursue a liberal arts education in history without ever having to step foot on a college campus. This program of study does not require students to enter with any prior college credits allowing students with no prior college experience to pursue this degree.  In this program, students will study a range of geographical regions and historical eras including but not limited to the United States, wartime Europe, and China.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#17. Arizona State University

With a massive student body of over 82,000 students, Arizona State University ranks at the tops of the list as the largest public university in the United States.  Following the values of the “New American University, Arizona State University doesn’t try to exclude students, but prides itself on how many students it can enroll and what they can bring out of them.  Opened as the Territorial Normal School in 1885, the school has remained at its Tempe, Arizona location since its opening.  That isn’t to say that Arizona State University is just limited to its original campus.  The school has grown immensely over the years, sprawling across five different campuses across the Phoenix metro area.  Students at Arizona State University are offered over 350 different degree programs to choose from.  Arizona State University is a public institution.

Made available through Arizona State University’s ASU Online distance education program, students can enroll in the university’s Bachelor of Arts in History degree program.  This program requires no campus visits as the entire curriculum can be delivered online, and students are able to transfer credits into the program but it is not required. Students in the program are able to target two specific areas of study: history of the United States or history of the World.  Through their studies, students will take part in the critical, historical, and comparative study of texts, as well as the development of reading and writing skills.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

Leveraging the power of emerging technologies, Valley City State University has always stayed on the forefront of technological innovations when it comes to education.  Since 1996, all students at Valley City State University have been issued laptops and all courses are designed around their inclusion.  Opened in 1890, Valley City State University as a teaching college, the school quickly expanded to offer a wider range of educational opportunities.  Currently, the school enrolls approximately 1,400 students on-campus and many more in its online program.  Students that are enrolled at Valley City State University can choose from over eighty different degrees to study.  Valley City State University is a public institution.

At Valley City State University, students can enroll to study either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in History through the school’s distance education program.  Students enrolled in the distance education program are not required to have any campus visits and are able to take the entirety of the program online.  The program is accepting of transfer credits but it is not required.  Through their studies, students will not only partake in a survey of the world’s history, but they will also participate in studies of the history of the environment.  Students will also learn to read, understand, and compare historical texts furthering their critical thinking and analytical skills.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#19. Washington State University

Known as “Wazzu” amongst its alumni, Washington State University was founded in 1890 in the city of Pullman.  Initially named Washington Agricultural College and School of Science, the school was later renamed to State College of Washington in 1905, and was finally renamed to Washington State University in 1959.  Remaining in Pullman, Washington since its opening, the college has expanded to campuses in Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver, as well as its successful online Global Campus.  Currently, the school enrolls almost 30,000 students across its campuses, and offers hundreds of degree programs to choose from.Washington State University is a public institution.

Offered through Washington State University’s Global Campus online distance education program, students can enroll in a Humanities degree with a History concentration.  This degree program is made available entirely online and requires no campus visits.  Students are able to apply transfer credits towards the degree, but it is not required to complete the program of study.  Within this program students will receive a broad education in the humanities, while being able to look more specifically at various topics in history including American history, world history, and more.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#20. University of North Alabama

In 1830, LaGrange College opened its doors to its first class, setting the groundwork for what would later become the University of North Alabama. The school was founded for students of all denominations and continues its open and accepting heritage to this day.  Located in Florence, Alabama, University of North Alabama is the state’s oldest public university.  University of North Alabama continues to grow as it has expanded beyond its initial Florence campus to include campuses in Tuscumbia, Sheffield and Muscle Shoals.  The school enrolls over 7,000 students currently across its four campus locations, and  students are able to enroll in over 150 different programs of study.  University of North Alabama is a public institution.

At the turn of the 20th century, Tennessee legislated the creation of four different state colleges to be built through the General Education Bill.  In 1909, the University of Memphis opened its doors as West Tennessee Normal School.  At this time, there were some schools already in the area under the name University of Memphis, but those were absorbed into the Tennessee Normal School.  The school was later renamed to University of Memphis in 1994.  Currently, the school is located in the Normal Station neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee.  Enrolling over 22,000 students across its downtown Memphis campus, the University of Memphis offers 254 different areas of study.    University of Memphis is a public institution.

Program Overview

At the University of Memphis, students can enroll in a Bachelor of Arts in History degree that is offered entirely online, on-campus, or a mixture of both.  The University of Memphis has designed the curriculum to be flexible to students and can be pursued in whatever way they would like.  Students are not required to transfer any credits in but can if they so choose.  In this degree program, students will learn about key historical events, learn how to analyze primary historical documents, and learn proper research techniques in order to form proper historical arguments.   A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

To provide working adults with a means to continue their education, former Lieutenant Commander David Chigos of the United States Navy opened National Education in the year 1972.  First opened in San Diego, California, National University relocated its main campus to La Jolla, and later established remote campuses in Virginia, Georgia, Nevada, and Florida.  To cater to the needs of the working professionals enrolled at National University, the school offers a vast majority of its classes at night, on the weekends, and online.  Enrolling over 24,000 students, National University is the twelfth largest  private, non-profit university in the United States and the second largest in California.  Students are able to enroll in over 130 different programs of study.  National University is a private institution.

Program Overview

At National University, students can enroll in their Bachelor of Arts in History degree program that is made available entirely online.  Students are able to take this class without ever having to go to campus and are not required to have prior college credits, however the program is accepting of transfer credits.  The curriculum of the Bachelor of Arts in History degree is centered around the completion of three core competencies: to engage the mind of those who study history, introduce students to worlds, times, places, and cultures they have not considered, and to promote the development of critical thinking.  At the completion of this program, students are also able to transfer in National University’s Master of Arts in History if they completed the program with a 3.5 GPA.  A minimum of 180 quarter units are required to complete this program.

Formerly known as Springfield College, Drury University was opened in 1872 by Congregationalist missionaries. Drury University’s founding was modeled after that of Dartmouth College and Yale University.  At the turn of the 21st century, the school was renamed to its current name, Drury University.   Located in the city of Springfield, Missouri, Drury University has grown to become an important part of the city’s downtown area.  Drury University enrolls almost 5,500 students currently and offers over seventy-five different degree programs for students to choose from.  Drury University is a private institution.

Program Overview

Offered entirely online, Drury University students can pursue a Bachelor of Science in History degree through the school’s distance education program.  The program is a degree completion program and requires that students have at least 84 transfer credits to participate in the program.   Beyond that, the program is able to be schedule flexibly around a student’s current working schedule.  Upon completion, students will have a greater knowledge of the world’s cultures and have developed valuable reading, writing, and argumentation skills.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.

#24. King University

Built on land donated by Reverend James King, for which the school is named, King University was established in 1866.  The initial plot of land quickly became too small for the growing school and King University was forced to move to its current location inside of Bristol, Tennessee.  Initially named King College, the school changed its name after an announcement in 2013.  The school was founded on Presbyterian traditions that continue to this day, but is also welcoming and open to people of all religious affiliation.  Now the school is home to just under 3,000 students at its Bristol campus.  Students at King University are able to enroll in eighty different degree programs.   King University is a private institution.

Program Overview

Made available entirely online, students enrolled in King University’s Bachelor Science in History degree program are not required to make any visits to the university’s Bristol campus.  Students must note that while all the course are available online, the degree program does require that 76 additional credits are to be transferred to graduate.  Through this plan of study, students will learn about Western History, as well as non-Western history.   This program will work to sharpen and increase reading and writing skills among those enrolled.    A minimum of 124 credits are required to complete this program.

#25. University of South Carolina

Opened in 1801 as South Carolina College with just only nine total students, University of South Carolina has grown immensely over the years.  Now, the school sits at the center of the University of South Carolina System of higher education as the flagship school.  The University of South Carolina is home to nearly 34,000 students making it one of the largest schools in the state.  Located at the top of the Congaree River, University of South Carolina is located in downtown Columbia, South Carolina’s capital.  Due to its size, the University of South Carolina has grown to encompass seven different satellite campuses each located throughout the downtown Columbia area.  The school has been recognized for its excellence in research by the Carnegie Foundation and offers its student body over 350 different programs of study.

Offered as a concentration of the school’s Liberal Studies program, students are able to enroll in University of South Carolina’s Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Concentration in History program entirely made available online through the school’s Palmetto College.  However, this program is a degree completion program and requires students to enroll with at least sixty previous credits to complete this degree. Students in this program will gain strong background in the liberal arts while specializing more closely in studies of various geographical and cultural histories.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this program.
