There's still no word on who will be moving into the retail spot at the corner of Magazine Street and Nashville Avenue but thanks to a heads-up from Canal Street Beat, here's a closer look at the proposed design. For those just tuning in, Butler Callahan Holdings scooped up the Uptown properties in June 2013 for $1,437,000 and announced plans to turn the three buildings into one connected white box space for tenant build-out with a restaurant possibly holding down the fort.
The glass-fronted corner building will take over the parking lot outside of Rare Cuts (their new shop will be at 5920 Magazine St). The other previous tenants have found new homes, too. Parcels and Post will be at 5208 Magazine St. and Vom Fass will have downtown digs when it sets up in Gallier Court, a retail-apartment combo. A couple months ago, there was talk of lease negotiations with a "very exciting tenant out of New York City", but this recently updated commercial listing shows the three parcels, ranging from 1,680 to 2,370-square-feet, on the rental market. There's no price listed but the ad does mention February 2015 availability.
