Nokia Connects have been in touch, and would like to know what you think of App Social, which should have replaced App Highlights on your Nokia Lumia smartphone (if not download here). In case you are not familiar with App Social, it works like a personalised App Store, put together by the folks at Nokia’s various departments. You also get recommendations from other App Social users who have Liked similar apps to you. Despite the app’s Beta status it is very smooth and simple to use, with lots of interaction points, like editing your profile pictures and creating lists of your favourite and most used apps. Nokia Connects say the following:
You may have noticed a beta app on your Nokia Lumia called App Social. If not, you can download it from the Windows Phone store. The app let’s you create app lists of your favourite apps and share them with your friends. You can also create a profile and follow your friends so you stay connected with the best apps. It would be awesome if you could check it out and let us know what you think of it, it’s in beta so feedback is really important right now. Feel free to share your thoughts with your communities as well!

So far, I have used App Social a couple of times and am most impressed with how attractive the app looks, with large high resolution screen shots of apps, and easy to navigate menus. You may find that you already have the app installed on your phone, as it arrived on my Lumia 920 as an update to App Highlights which comes installed on most Nokia Lumia devices. Remember to leave feedback on the app if you use it, and share any lists you create with @Nokia_Connects on Twitter. App Social is available for all Nokia Lumia Windows Phone devices.
