Responsible for the analysis and implementation of provisions of various leases, deeds, assignments, mineral records and agreements to set up and maintain proper ownership for revenue payments and joint interest billings.
Detailed Description
* Proficient in Sr. Specialist duties
* Reviews and analyzes title documents (deeds, assignments, probates, title opinions, affidavits). Processes JIB and Revenue ownership changes.
* Researches owner suspense and takes action to resolve.
* Interfaces with Revenue & JIB accounting, Land and Business Development departments. Interacts with interest owners, attorneys, partners, and other companies in response to owner inquiries, research and resolution of ownership issues and interest discrepancies.
* Performs calculations of owner interest and reviews title curative.
* Determines interests and burdens associated with interests based on title analysis of deeds, assignments, purchase & sale agreements, probate documents, leases and royalty agreements.
* Assists in updating DOIs for payouts and recompletions.
* Assists with special projects and other assignments as required.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree preferably in Law, Finance, or Economics
* OR High School Diploma + 3 years of Lease, land or division order experience.
