ATLANTA -- Atlanta Falcons cornerback Christopher Owens went out in the first quarter with a head injury against the Denver Broncos and was declared out for the rest of Monday night's game.
Another cornerback, Asante Samuel, sustained a neck injury in the opening period. But, after a quick trip to the locker room for X-rays, he was able to return.
Atlanta was already short-handed at cornerback after Brent Grimes went down with a season-ending injury in the opener.
