Livingston County psychiatric service dog facility gets renovations by Home Depot associates

HOWELL, Mich. — Home
Depot associates will help renovate a Howell nonprofit that rescues and
trains shelter dogs to be psychiatric service dogs for military veterans
suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or traumatic brain injury.

Wheelchair access, energy efficient modifications and
other renovations will be made Thursday at Stiggy's Dogs facilities
northwest of Detroit.

The Home Depot Foundation is honoring Stiggy's Dogs for
its first-place finish in the July Aprons in Action Facebook voting
contest. Stiggy's will receive a $25,000 gift card and more than 50
Ryobi power tools.

Thursday's event is part of the foundation's two-month
initiative to help improve the homes and lives of U.S. military veterans
through volunteer projects.
