–Non-profit educational, baseball organization acquires 10,000-sf property at 1670 White Horse-Mercerville Road in Hamilton–

PRINCETON, NJ – September 1, 2015 – Colliers International has arranged the $712,500 sale of 1670 White Horse-Mercerville Road in Hamilton, NJ to the Babe Ruth League, Inc., a non-profit educational, baseball organization named after one of the greatest baseball players of all time, George Herman “Babe” Ruth.

The national organization –– which serves more than one million players ranging from ages four to 18 through its wide-ranging baseball and softball programs –– relocated and expanded its headquarters to the 10,000-square-foot, one-story office building in Hamilton, NJ this summer.

The standalone property, previously owned by Hamilton Park Associates Limited Partnership, is comprised of 8,500 square feet of office space, including a showroom of Babe Ruth memorabilia, and a 1,500-square-foot warehouse.

“After a thorough and extensive three-year search, we are thrilled to have identified the ideal, standalone building for the Babe Ruth League’s long-awaited headquarters relocation and expansion in Hamilton, NJ, where the organization was first founded,” said Vinny Di Meglio, Associate Director at Colliers International, who along with Executive Managing Director Thomas Romano represented the Babe Ruth League in the transaction. “Their new headquarters is located right in the heart of Hamilton, NJ and is easily accessible to all visitors via multiple roadways.”

Added Romano: “The Babe Ruth League had been seeking a larger home for the last two decades and knowing their requirements, we reached out to one of our clients, Hamilton Park Associates Limited Partnership, who was considering selling one of their properties and we brought the two together. It was truly a ‘brokerage 101’ solution.”

“This move is monumental for the continued growth and success of the organization not only in New Jersey, but nationwide,” said Di Meglio.

“This is a new chapter for Babe Ruth League, Inc. We are excited to be settling in our new International Headquarters. The new building offers a significantly enhanced and improved working environment for all employees, and more than accommodates our current and future needs,” said Steve Tellefsen, President & CEO of the Babe Ruth League. “We considered several locations over the years, but none of them seemed to be ideal for future expansion. Hamilton, New Jersey is not only the birthplace of Babe Ruth League, but is also a strong baseball and softball community. We are very glad to be back home where we belong.”

In addition to this transaction, Colliers is now marketing for sale the Babe Ruth League’s former headquarters at 1770 Brunswick Pike in Lawrence, NJ.
