Although Airtel launched India’s first 4G LTE services in India back in 2012, customers could connect to it only using the dongles. But now 4G LTE has been launched for mobile phones as well using TD-LTE technology. Although 4G is available in India, it is limited to few cities and the numbers of devices supporting 4G in India is limited. Since iPhone has support for TD LTE network, previously it was the only phone which could use 4G in India. But now, lot of OEMs are bringing in 4G LTE support for their mobile phones and this is not just restricted to premium or flagship phones.

Recently we covered on how Gionee plans to bring 4G to phones in 10k price range as well. So here is the list of smartphones below Rs 25000 which supports 4G LTE in India.



HTC Desire 820

The phone was announced at the IFA 2014 in Berlin and comes with a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, similar to the Desire 816. The device is this is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor ( four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz per core and four clocked at 1.0 GHz) and Adreno 405 GPU. The device runs the latest version of  Android 4.4 Kitkat with HTC Sense 6 UI on top, and it will be supported by the upcoming release of Android L.

The phone also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual-front-facing BoomSound speakers and comes in single SIM and dual SIM variants. Desire 820 is priced around Rs 25000.

Lenovo Vibe X2

Lenovo Vibe X2 which was announced at t IFA back in September,got launched in India recently . The device comes with a 5-inch 1080p display and has tri-layer finish with gradient three layer design. It is powered by a 2 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6595 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Vibe UI 2.0 on top.On the imaging front, it features a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera. It supports dual SIM and has 4G LTE connectivity with TD- LTE Band 40. It has 2GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and packs 2300mAh battery. The phone is priced Rs 19999 and available exclusively on Flipkart.

LG G3 Beat

The LG G3 Beat, a fitting sibling of LG G3, is a compact and stylish smartphone.  The device comes with a 5 inch HD display (1280 X 720p) and comes with Snapdragon 400 processor 1.2 GHz Quad-Core with 1GB of RAM. The device also has 8GB internal storage which is expandable using microSD card. The phone also features a 8MP rear camera with laser auto focus which was found on LG G3. The phone also supports 4G LTE out of the box and has 2540mAh battery which is removable as well. The smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box, much like the G3.

XOLO LT900

Xolo officially launched its first smartphone with 4G support in India, the LT900 at Rs. 17,999. The highlight of the Xolo LT900 is that it supports TDD LTE bands and it is the cheapest 4G enabled phone in India. It comes with a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Dual-core Processor and has 4.7 inch HD display with 1GB RAM. The phone is now selling for Rs 12444.

Gionee V6L & Gionee P5L

Gionee V6L LTE is the slimmest of all LTE phones with a 6.9mm thickness and it runs on Quad Core 1.2GHz and has on Android OS, v4.4 (KitKat) and is supported by Internal 8GB, 1GB RAM T-card Up to 128GB. The phone has 5.0 inch IPS HD display.It also comes with 8MP rear camera, LTE connectivity, and 1950 mAh battery and DTS. The Gionee V6L LTE is rich in features and promises the consumers a whole new level of experience.

Gionee Pioneer P5L LTE  comes with 4.7inch FWVGA display and is optimized by CPU Quad Core 1.2GHz and runs on Android OS, v4.4 (KitKat) and is supported by Internal 8GB, 1GB RAM T-card Up to 128GB. Other features include an 5MP rear camera, LTE connectivity, and 1800 mAh battery.

These phones are just announced, launch is expected to happen in December.
