63 public benefit venture projects signed in Yinzhou
The signing ceremony for 2014 Public Benefit Venture Projects (Shortlisted) of Yinzhou, Ningbo was held at the Yinzhou Civil Affairs Office a couple of days ago. Project leaders of 63 shortlisted projects including “Care for the Aged: QR Code Bracelet against Getting Lost” signed agreements with the Yinzhou Social Organization Service Center. Each of the shortlisted projects shall get a financial support of 10,000-40,000 yuan, with the total amount reaching 1.73 million yuan. Since this activity was initiated in July, the candidate projects have undergone collection, selection and panel evaluation. While stressing on the grass-root features of the projects, the Yinzhou Civil Affairs Office gave particular emphasis on the originality and potentiality of the projects in judging the candidate projects.
Double 11 cross-border sales in Bonded Zone amount to 160million
As one of the major three stock warehouses of Tmall’s overseas products, Ningbo Bonded Zone has become the focus of the country in Double 11 of 2014. The latest statistics show that 700 thousand cross-border orders have been placed through the Bonded Zone, worth 160 million yuan, 1.4 times the total since the start of the pilot site. It is estimated that the import sales of the cross-border e-commerce in the Bonded Zone will exceed 300 million yuan.
The Plastic Exposition concluded
The four-day “2014 China International Plastic Exposition” closed on November 9. 436 enterprises and 22 thousand clients attended the fair, with a 10% increase. The total trade volume of the fair reached 3.5 billion yuan.
It is learned that this exposition is closer to the market demand and the lightweight development trend of car industry. It set up plastic industry innovation technology section. 42 enterprises displayed special materials, moulds and upscale auto parts. There is also exhibitions of semi-finished plastic products, plastic moulds, plastic products and plastic material. There are also more than 1500 plastic machinery equipments on display. 85% of them are energy-saving and environmental-protection products, degradable and recyclable plastic products.

Employment and entrepreneurship service month kicks off in Haishu
Recently, Ximen Subdistrict in Haishu held a “Moonlight Economy” service fair, namely, an employment and entrepreneurship projects match-making meeting. 18 enterprises including hotels, supermarkets and logistics companies, which will offer 200 positions, attended the job fair.
Haishu also opened a Wechat account “Employment and Entrepreneurship in Haishu”, which has a column for moonlight economy enterprises to provide related information. Up to now, 7 job fairs have been organized and 236 enterprises with more than 1300 positions and 1435 people have attended the fairs. 75 of them have reached employment intention.

Tour exhibition of Chinese modern scientists starts
The first large exhibition features the theme of scientists opened in Ningbo yesterday. The exhibition involves around 700 Chinese modern scientists including several ones whose birthplace is Ningbo, with about 1000 historical pictures. More than 2000 people visited the exhibition and over 30 thousand are expected to visit it.
The tour exhibition with the theme “Science Dream, Chinese Dream” in Ningbo will last for about half a month from November 11 to 25. The exhibition is made up of 5 sections, representing the introduction of modern science to China, the history of science and education in the turbulent times, the birth of new science in New China, the Spring of science and science in the new century.

The First World Internet Conference Opens in Wuzhen
China’s Internet tycoons and officials together with foreign cyberspace titans celebrated the opening ceremony of the World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, an ancient town in Zhejiang province, on 19th November.
More than 1,000 participants from over 100 countries and regions are attending the conference.
China has 632 million Internet users, including 527 million who access the Web from mobile devices, and the total is projected to rise to 850 million by 2015, according to the government.

On November 11, Textile School of Zhejiang Fashion Institute of Technology held “Docking Meeting for College-Enterprise Cooperation Project of R&D and Trade of Material and Fabric”, displaying over 40 new fabrics. More than 30 enterprises asked for cooperation. The fabrics were developed together by the Institute and other enterprises by improving material modification, textile processing, dyeing and finishing. These fashionable and quality fabrics are low-carbon and energy-saving, and thus of great competitiveness.
Cixi pushes ahead “Blue Collar Talent Project”
To the end of October, the long 8th Cixi Skill Competition closed. More than 30 thousand participants from 465 companies attended the competition with 31 items. 33 won the title of skill masters and 218 won certain prizes.
According to statistics, there are 85 skill training bases in the city, which have trained 52 thousand people.
First Design Match of City Sculptures of Ningbo Concluded
On the afternoon of November 15, No Distance• Closing and Award Ceremony of Ningbo Sculpture Exhibition and of First Design Match of City Sculptures of Ningbo was held in Ningbo Museum of Art. Back Home, the sculpture that attracted most citizens won the first prize. Forerunner, Striving, Try and other 12 sculptures won second and third prizes as well as excellence awards.
On the same day, Ningbo Sculpture Museum was set up and 16 awarded sculptors received membership.

2014 Ningbo Organ Transplant Annual Meeting was held in No.2 Hospital of Yinzhou. Kidney transplant expert and president of the host hospital Yao Xuping said that the membership of OPO in Ningbo is not standard enough. The ratio of medical workers and staff from the same hospital is too high. He hoped that more medical ethnics experts, sociologists, lawyers and volunteers could join the work and push ahead the organ transplant work.
“Now, we have 7 coordinators of state level in our hospital. But I hope more active experts of medical ethics, sociologists, lawyers and volunteers can join the transplant team,” said Yao Xuping.

Zhenhai cooperates with German University to build vocational education center
Recently, the first high-skilled talents training center by Dresden University of Technology from Germany settled down in Zhenhai Vocational Education Center, which symbolized the start of the cooperation between Zhenhai Vocational Education and German university to build the first-class high-skilled talents project.
According to the president, the Training Center will introduce the standards of curricula, teachers, examinations, evaluations, organization and management of teaching from Germany, build a base for practical training and standardized tests which integrate theory and practice, and have teaching reform and teachers’ training of certain majors, to drive the vocational education in Zhenhai to develop with quality. The center will also radiate to the whole city and even the whole province, providing teachers’ training and technical training service for other vocational education schools.

Flights from Ningbo to Guilin renewed
Since November 10, Shandong Airlines has resumed its Qingdao-Ningbo-Guilin flight, which was stopped during the flight season change in October 2014.
The flight number will still be SC4739/4740, flying every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The renewal decision was made after coordination between Ningbo Airport and Shandong Airlines.
