Facebook is undoubtably amongst the top social media platforms that can really help grow a business. In order for that to happen, besides having a presence on Facebook, businesses need to be using it effectively in order to realise their social media marketing goals.

There is a wealth of knowledge on the world wide web on how to best do Facebook. Some of it is really good and some it is a waste of time and in some cases a waste of money too. The best way to learn Facebook would be from Facebook themselves but face-to-face opportunities where they show you the “how to’s” don’t come often.

To that end, Facebook has launched Small Business Accelerator, a programme where they are offering 12 businesses Down Under (New Zealand and Australia) the opportunity to attend a two day workshop in Sydney on the 24th and 25th of September 2013.

The workshops, which aimed at helping businesses succeed on Facebook will provide training in marketing and advertising on the social network. To add to that, for the 3 months after the workshop, attendees will also receive free advice and support with their campaigns.

This is an opportunity that doesn’t come around often! This is a not to be missed opportunity if you are a small business owner or entrepreneur looking to make the most out of your Facebook marketing efforts.

Applying to win a seat (actually up to 3 attendees from each winner) is simple and straight forward. You will need to fill out basic information such as company details and then answer the following questions with each answer being up to a maximum of 50 words in length:

How do you currently market your business on Facebook?

Tell us why you want to join the Accelerator program and how you think Facebook can help you fast track your business success?

All of the details about and application form for the program can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/smallbizaccelerator

Applications close at 11.59pm AEST on August 12, 2013 with the judging taking place on August 16. If you are going to apply to the programme, best of luck to you.
