Toni Volpe was appointed member and Chairman of the Boards of Directors of the Enel Group’s Romanian companies in a meeting that took place yesterday. He will thus be replacing Luca D’Agnese, the former Country Manager of Enel Romania, a press release notes. Toni Volpe has been part of the Enel Group for 10 years thus achieving significant international experience in a number of key managerial positions within the Group. Between 2011 and 2014 he was Head of Human Resources Planning, Compensation, Development, Training and Recruiting at Group level, reporting to the Enel Head of Human Resources and Organization.  From 2005 to 2011, he was Country Manager in North America for Enel Green Power (EGP), reporting to the CEO of EGP. Under his tenure, the company diversified its portfolio by accessing new technologies and recorded substantial growth in installed capacity and gross margin thus becoming a leading operator of renewable energy plants in the United States and Canada. Before that, Toni Volpe worked in Corporate Strategy at Enel, reporting directly to the Enel Group CEO on key corporate development programs. Volpe is taking over his new position at Enel Romania, a sizable foreign investor in the Country, starting April 30th. After three years at the helm of Enel Romania, Luca D’Agnese is taking over another important managerial position within the Enel Group.
