The hard-enduro motorcycling contest called ‘King of the Hill’ and organized by Hard Enduro Club Arad (HECA), in partnership with the City Hall of Arad and Arad County Council, started on Friday in Arad.
Participating in the contest there are 228 competitors from 14 countries – 114 at hobby class, 178 in expert class and 36 in pros class – running on motorcycles of 125 cc up to 500 cc.
Among the competitors there are two girls, Agnieszka Smolinska, from Poland, who competes in the hobby class, and Kirsten Landman, from South Africa, in class expert.
This year’s edition of the competition in Arad matters also as stage of the National Hard-enduro Championship, and next year it will become a European Championship stage.
On the first day, competitors had to cover a route of some 75 kilometers to Siria and back, with 13 special stages, while on Sunday will have to finish several laps on a 20 km-long circuit.
