I've often heard people ask if non PA scopes can be used. Well low ranges are better accommodated than long range.
This video was recording what is seen through one of my Spotter-Add-On rigs used with a very old Bushnell 4x40 wide angle scope (fixed mag and no focus) in rather thick Pre-dawn fog under an almost full moon that was low in the sky: Note the long shadows below the trees.
