Azure Solutions Architect- 150k- New Brunswick, NJ
The Cloud Architect will be responsible for the management and migration of traditional infrastructure to a cloud-based automated infrastructure. The cloud engineer will play an integral part in advancing the Cloud eco-system and culture of technical excellence. The incumbent will champion the Cloud Management Platform, live and breathe Infrastructure Automation, support Hybrid Cloud Solutions, and demonstrates abilities of all Cloud-as-a-Service varieties: PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, etc.
The Solution Architect will build the next generation of Cloud infrastructure, become a key contributor supporting end-to-end private/public cloud automation IT and infrastructure application delivery, including infrastructure provisioning and integration with continuous integration/continuous development platforms, using existing and emerging technologies. This will require solid experience moving infrastructure to the Cloud.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
*At least 5 years of overall technical architecture experience in defining high security, high availability solutions
*2+ years' experience of designing and delivering secure cloud solutions on Azure or AWS with extensive knowledge about various cloud services
*At least 2 years of experience in designing deployment strategies for cloud/virtualization and implementation best practices
*At least 3 years of experience of designing solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
*Experience with AWS CloudWatch and other automation services
*Experience in agile development
*Strong analytical and communication skills
*At least 3 years of experience in thought leadership, white papers and leadership/mentoring staff and internal consulting teams
*Nice to haves include anything with Firewalls, Office 365, Exchange, Domain Controllers, Virtualization VMWare
Preferred Qualifications
*AWS or Azure Cloud Architect certification
*Exposure to VMware vCloud, Azure PowerShell, AWC CloudFormation, experience a plus
*Strong Azure Solutions Architect with hands on experience in data migration, data store creation, security, Replication, Backup and anything to do with Azure Data Life Cycle end to end
*Prior Experience (Minimum 2 project) in moving from on premises as well as other cloud platforms to Azure
*Experience in architecting and designing new systems and migration process
*Needs to know Azure SQL and Azure SQL Data warehouse an Architectural perspective as well as from an implementation perspective
*Needs to know Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake as well as any other toolsets in data import and export from an AzureSQL DW cluster/Azure SQL DB
*Understands Performance aspects of Azure storage platforms
*Should have good understanding of Azure architectural patterns
*Should have good understanding of C# and PowerShell scripting
*Hands on Experience in migration and export of large data sets from on premise and cloud based platforms into/from Azure
