Bleeding Cool is reporting the super news that Action Lab has announced that they will launch two brand-new comic book series based on Zag and Toei Animation's popular CG-animated Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir television series in July 2016!



Action Lab announced the exciting news during a special presentation to celebrate their 5th anniversary publishing at the Diamond Retailer Breakfast ahead of C2E2 on Friday 18th March 2016.

Combining action-packed adventure with superhero elements, Miraculous Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is a 3D, CGI-animated sitcom that follows two junior high students, Marinette and Adrien, who have the ability to transform into superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, with the help of their Miraculous accessories & magical kwami, Tikki and Plagg! Together, they keep Paris safe from the evil Hawk Moth and his army of mind-controlling akuma. The storylines and adventures are rich with friends, family, fun, secret identity, transformation, villains, fashion, creativity and more, all within the spectacular backdrop of Paris.



The series debuted in South Korea in September 2015, before premiering in the United States on Nickelodeon on December 6. The series is also airing in France and Australia, and will premiere in Canada, New Zealand, EMEA, Latin America, Italy, Brazil, Belgium, Switzerland, and Lithuania, where it has also become a hit series among children.

Shout! Factory To Release "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir - Volume 1" DVD On Tuesday 3rd May 2016!

Based on an original concept by Zag, the 26-episode series is a co-production between Zag, Method Animation, Toei Animation and SamG, with the participation of TF1, Disney Channel EMEA, SK Broadband and AB droits audiovisuels.



Since debuting in North America on Nickelodeon USA in December 2016, the show has become one of the top 10 animated series across all networks and time slots after just 10 weeks on Nick USA, and is currently tracking around #3 in kids shows.

Jeremy Zag, the founder of Zag Entertainment, recently announced that Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir has been renewed for two more seasons!

Action Lab will support the launch of their new Miraculouys Ladybug comic book series, which promises to be a great addition to the actionverse line of heroes, with a national advertising push in July.
