Happy Wednesday crafters!
One of my very favorite die collections from last year's Lawn Fawn holiday release were the Stitched Snowflakes Dies. (Check out THIS airbrushed card HERE and my white one white tags decor HERE). I was thrilled that Lawn Fawn released a similar smaller version this year with their Mini Snowflakes Dies. I paired these super cute dies with the Let It Snow Border Die and Snowy Backdrops Stamp Set for this elegant snowflake card showcasing hanging snowflakes colored with the Chameleon Color Tones Pens.
To create the distress inked panel along the top of my card, I die cut the Let It Snow Border Die from smooth white cardstock, being sure to retain the top piece above the die cut. I die cut the greeting twice more and set them aside for a bit.
I took that top panel from the first die cut and applied Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink to the entire thing using a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Then I stamped over the panel using the Snowy Backdrops Stamp Set border stamp and Yeti white pigment ink.
I set the top panel aside and die cut a bunch of snowflakes from smooth white cardstock using the Mini Snowflakes Dies. I colored in the snowflakes with the Chameleon Color Tones Pens in the Cool Tones.
I stamped the dotted line from the Joy To The Woods Stamp Set on the white background using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with silver embossing powder. I adhered the distress inked and stamped panel to the top of the design and then adhered the die cut greeting, stacking three die cuts one on top of another for a bolder impact. The top greeting layer was brushed over with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker for a bit of subtle glitter and shine.
I adhered the colored die cut snowflakes to the end of each "string" using Zots Bling Glue Dots. I secured a Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear 4mm or 6mm sequin to the center of each and finished the design by adding tiny, tiny clear gemstones to the center of each sequin and scattered along the bottom edge of the design.
I finished the card by rounding all four corners with the 1/2" corner chomper.
