I'm so super excited to get to share with you a card created using new stamps (yes, stamps!) and dies collaborated between Pretty Pink Posh and Simon Says Stamp, exclusive for STAMPtember! Today's card showcases the new Darling Friends Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I paired these new stamps and dies with a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 die, a Stitched Borders 2 die, and a Stitched Speech Bubble die. Ink "smooshing" inspired by Kristina Werner and Laura Bassen make for a wonderful background to the bright and fun card!
I stamped the hot air balloon, mouse, and mountain images from the Darling Friends Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. The individual marker colors are linked below in supplies and shown in the upper left corner of the screen in the how to video. I inked up the trees with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, spritzed them with water from a Mini Mister, and stamped them on watercolor cardstock. I die cut all the images using the coordinating Darling Friends Dies.
For the background, I used Salty Ocean Distress Ink, Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink on watercolor cardstock with the ink "smooshing" technique shown in Kristina's video HERE. I used the same technique to add Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink to the die cut landscape created by die cutting watercolor cardstock with a Stitched Borders 1 die.
I die cut clouds from vellum for the top of the panel using a Stitched Borders 2 die. I die cut the vellum speech bubble from a Stitched Speech Bubble die, stamped a greeting from the Darling Friend Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
