Job Responsibilities: General Responsibilities: Responsible for equipment troubleshooting building operation, tooling, machine maintenance, establishing engineering procedures, standards, and quality. Standards for all activities are based on Metalcraft’s Quality Policy.

Major Duties:

1) Engineering team member. Perform troubleshooting analysis of equipment and tooling. Make needed repairs, adjustments or communicate findings to appropriate resources.

2) Project Engineer for facilities analysis, justification, and recommendations.

Work with and evaluate contractors as required, in regards to HVAC, Electrical or Mechanical improvement

3) Maintain asset and equipment tracking system as the Mainsaver System Administrator. Add or edit preventive maintenance and corrective work orders, perform purchasing operations as required

4) Support machine and automation evaluations, installation, setup, preventative maintenance plan, and operator training as needed.

5) Support complex tool design and build, troubleshoot dies, tooling, feeds, controls, fabricate components, test, and train.

a) Perform machine repairs and adjustments as needed to support the Engineering Team.

6) Maintain open communications between employees, management, and intra department.

7) Provide technical support, act as liaison, monitor, and train.

a) Work with local fire officials and contractors to ensure we are in compliance with fire safety codes.

b) Assist team with Hazmat, external services for fire, and OSHA/EPA.

c) Train employees to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, monitor, and provide corrective feedback as needed.

8) Provide guidance and input to develop and update department policies and procedures and ensure the continuous use of these policies and procedures.

9) Support department schedule and assist in the administration of the department.

10) Purchase repair parts for machinery and departmental supplies and tools. Maintain records of history.

11) Backup maintenance for print process, building and grounds

12) Primary maintenance support for Lasers and On Demand Systems

13) Perform miscellaneous duties.

a) Monitor heavy equipment unloading from delivery trucks.

b) Fire alarm monitoring service contact

c) After hours call-in for maintenance support.

14) Support and participate in the quarterly and annual planning sessions. Learn our V/TO system and take ownership of “Rocks”

a) Function as a CI resource for problem solving, process improvement, and project teams.

15) Support, develop, and maintain a system of procedures and documentation to comply with Metalcraft Quality Policies and Standards and provide support for ISO9002 implementation.

16) Produce quality work in an efficient and timely manner to assist Metalcraft in meeting customer needs.

17) Write and maintain standard work procedures.

NOTE: This job requires the ability to access roof mounted equipment via ladder and lift up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis.

Education:

Bachelors in Industrial Technology, Tool & Die or a closely related field or equivalent

Experience:

• Tool & Die or machinist experience

• Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical

• Preventive Maintenance
