Congratulations to the Voorhees Vikings Marching Band, which took First Place in Group 3 at the North Warren Band Festival on October 5! At the festival, the Viking Band performed its 2013 field show entitled “Mangione Magic,” which includes arrangements of three popular songs of Chuck Mangione. The band scored a 76.525 and came in first out of the Group 3 Bands that were competing that evening. In addition to First Place, the band won awards for Best Music, Best Visual, Best Overall Effect, and Best Color Guard. The Voorhees Band will compete again on October 26th at Somerville High School.
