I was interested recently by a new guide to smart decisions that restaurant managers should make – and keen to put NFS to the test they suggested.
The guide says the biggest innovation in the industry is now happening less on the menu and more and more on the technology that is driving increased in the food and beverage services industry.
We’d agree, of course. We’ve already seen demand for our technology services grow and grow as hotels and restaurants around the world see the efficiencies, savings and improvements in guest satisfaction. It suggested a number the questions that restaurateurs need to ask the companies who want to supply their electronic point of sale (EPoS) and property management systems.
So at NFS, we asked ourselves the questions…
Question 1: What type of customer support is offered?
We know the answer to that one – we’re the proud possessors of an award-winning 24/7 global helpdesk that supports our customers wherever they are in the world.
Question 2: What is the POS solution provider’s track record for stability and reliability?
When you’re a long-established company with a great track record it’s easy to answer that one, too – or you could ask our 1,500 satisfied customers…
Question 3: Does the POS solution offer flexibility in functionality, including data access and performance reporting?
Our Aloha EPoS system certainly ticks these boxes thoroughly, providing comprehensive reports so users can make informed management decisions.
The report points out that not all POS data queries and reporting requirements can necessarily be anticipated by ready-made dashboards, and buyers should find out about customised reporting. We agree entirely – and once again Aloha fits the bill with customised reports easy to set up whenever they are needed.
Are we feeling smug right now? No – we’d never be that complacent, and we’re constantly enhancing our software and support services. But we’re certainly very pleased. And we’d be happy for any restaurateur in the world to ask NFS Technology those three tricky questions.
