Niagara Falls + Kids = Hours of Laughter and Fun

The city is alive with the sound of laughter (the contagious kid kind). That’s the best kind of laughter isn’t it? Now only if they could bottle up that laughter, it would sell like hot cakes.

Speaking of hot cakes, here are the hottest Niagara Falls attractions for those laughter loving kids during the summer heat:

Clifton Hill

It’s definitely a contrast to the majestic natural wonder Niagara Falls, but this street of fun receives 10 out of 10 scores on the fun factor. From the fun houses to the haunted houses to the Niagara SkyWheel, this street will have your kids entertained for hours. You’ll thank us when bedtime arrives, because they’ll sleep like babies.

A day on Clifton Hill can get expensive, so be sure to be on the look out for local coupon books and coupon kiosks like this one, which is located right in our hotel.

You can still have lots of fun at a fraction of the price. What Clifton Hill attractions get some of the local kids stamp of approval? Dinosaur Park Miniature Golf, the Canadian Midway with over 70,000 square feet of fun and bowling and the haunted houses (for those brave enough) and mazes.

Journey Behind the Falls

This is a Niagara Falls attraction you cannot miss, whether you’re five or fifty-five. It’s one of the top must-experience attractions in Niagara Falls. They call it “Journey Behind the Falls” for a reason, because you will be taking a journey deep below and behind the heart of Niagara Falls. Get ready to stand in the mighty mist where the magnificent Horseshoe Falls tumbles from 13 storeys above! You’ll experience the awesome spectacle of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crashing down to the basin below. Here are some fun facts: During summer daylight hours, over 2,800 cubic meters of water thunders over the brink every second, traveling 65 kilometers per hour!

Hornblower Niagara Cruises

If you only have time to experience one attraction, this is it! The Cruise starts out a bit deceiving. You’ll find the ride very calm, peaceful and picturesque as you pass the American Horseshoe Falls. There will be lots of time to take beautiful photos and selfies. But as soon as you get into the hub of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, get ready for your heart to start beating a bit faster and be prepared to not only get wet, but soaking wet. Taking a selfie in the hub of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls will be a challenge, as you’ll be too busy trying to stay dry. This takes the word “cruise” to a whole new level!

Bird Kingdom

The Bird Kingdom is a world class tropical adventure. It is the largest free-flying indoor aviary in the world. Featuring more than 400 birds in a multi-level rainforest setting, a 40-foot waterfall, tropical plants, reptiles, a bird-feeding centre, and an Archaeology Dig. This is an attraction that will keep your kids entertained, educated and engaged for hours. You’ll also be entertained by the $3 off coupons you can receive at our Tour Desk.

It’s excitement for the whole family and only a short walk from the Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls hotel.

Safari Niagara

Safari Niagara is where nature meets squealing moments of giddy excitement. This 150-acre, privately-owned and operated nature park is home to more than 750 animals (native and exotic mammals, reptiles and birds). Your kids will become friends with bearded dragons, river bottom hippos, giraffes, apes, lions and tigers and bears (oh my)! Be prepared to spend a full day here because Safari Niagara is so much more than just a nature park – it’s an adventure park, water park and playground all rolled into one. So pack a picnic basket, swim suits and plenty of sunscreen, because you’ll be spending hours at this “so much more” than just a nature park attraction.

If you’re crunched for time and want to see the greatest Niagara Falls attractions in a short time, then we’ve got the perfect suggestion for you. Our Niagara Falls Tour (located right in the hotel lobby of the Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls Hotel). It’s a four hour, fully narrated bus tour that makes stops at Hornblower Niagara Cruises, Journey Behind the Falls, the Butterfly Conservatory (one of Niagara’s most popular attractions featuring over 2000 tropical butterflies flying freely in a rainforest setting) and the Floral Clock. Plus you’ll receive passes to Niagara’s Fury and the White Water Walk which you can use anytime during your visit.

Niagara certainly is a kidcentric city full of adventure and the Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls is the kidcentric hotel full of kid-friendly Niagara Falls Packages, like our popular Kids Love Niagara Package. Let the fun begin!
