The Governance, Risk & Compliance unit works with teams across Thomson Reuters to leverage the full capabilities of the business.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager position is accountable and responsible for the following:

Accountable for managing Thomson Reuters product implementations for multiple simultaneous clients and ensuring a timely, efficient and successful deployment or upgrade of Thomson Reuters products.

Accountable for ensuring that a quality deliverable is implemented on time, on budget and according to agreed upon scope between Thomson Reuters and the client

Responsible for interacting with clients and internal business partners to identify business needs and provide solutions to clients

Accountable for providing consistent and timely communication of project status to client and Thomson Reuters management

Accountable for promoting and complying with Implementation Best Practices as part of any Thomson Reuters product implementation

Responsible for proactively partnering with Account Management team in offering and selling Thomson Reuters services to satisfy and retain clients

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage software implementations and upgrades in an efficient and timely manner and in accordance with Thomson Reuters policies, best practices and procedures including:

Developing and maintaining a comprehensive project plan; and all project deliverables are scheduled to be delivered to the client within the agreed time frame and on budget

Identifying and securing resources, both internal and from the client, to properly staff projects.  Lead and direct these resources in executing the tasks set forth in the implementation project plans

Identifying project risks, preparing contingency plans where appropriate, and communicating project risks and contingencies to all project participants and stakeholders during normal status reports or more frequently as appropriate

Identifying material changes in scope and performing change management to assess the impact to project budgets and timelines.  Seeking client approval and acceptance of any additional costs before proceeding with implementing said changes

Tracking project status of, coordinating with and communicating to all Thomson Reuters project resources, including but not limited to, Training Specialist, Business Consultant, System Engineer, Reporting Specialist and Data Import

Maintaining consistent and effective communication with clients utilizing Thomson Reuters approved tools and processes (e.g. Client Status Reports)

Overseeing delivery of the GRC software to the proper environment (e.g. Thomson Reuters UAT, Thomson Reuters Hosting, Client UAT, Client Production, etc).

Assisting clients on determining the proper methods for performing their User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and facilitating the resolution of issues found during UAT

Assisting the clients to determine the proper method for deploying their final build into a production environment and facilitating this deployment

Provide consultation services to clients around implementation and software Best Practices including:

Acquiring breadth of understanding of Thomson Reuters’s products and services

Providing answers to client questions around how to properly use software

Providing guidance on proper configuration and setup of software

Providing guidance on proper testing of software

Providing guidance on proper data import practices and how to structure data within the software

Offer clients additional value-add services that Thomson Reuters provides including:

Partnering with the Account Management team to sell additional Thomson Reuters services

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BA or BS degree required; PMI Certification or current pursuit of certification required

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Five or more years of managing multiple projects simultaneously and in an efficient manner, preferably with packaged or 3rd party vendor software

Proven client services experience in a consulting or professional services environment

Outstanding interpersonal and business communication skills

Always portrays a positive and constructive attitude

Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and multiple projects at once

Ability to professionally handle intense and stressful situations

Proven creative problem-resolution experience, high attention to detail, be highly analytical and be pro-active in implementing solutions and be able to anticipate and resolve client issues

Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Project and familiarity with Collaboration and Document Management Products.

Experience with one or more of the following environments desired: Regulatory (i.e. Sarbanes-Oxley), Operational Risk Management or Corporate Audit

Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 25 – 50%, both nationally and internationally
