Upgrades coming to Newton Applicant Tracking System
First. if you use Internet Explorer, you MUST update.
In less than 4 weeks, we’ll release a completely new version of Newton (version 9.0) to those of you not already using the new product. That’s right, by June 16th nearly all of Newton’s customers will be using the most modern applicant tracking system on the market.
The newest version of Newton features an updated and modern user interface that will automatically make Newton universally available on any smartphone, tablet, operating system and modern browser without having to download any special apps. The upgraded version has been extensively tested. Your day-to day workflow will be improved by this update, not hindered.
New functionality on the way
We’ll use the latest version of Newton as a springboard to launch new features every 6-8 weeks for the rest of the year. The product roadmap is extensive.
Here are just a few of the new enhancements on the way in the next couple of weeks.
- New integrated Task and Reminders
- Customizable recruiting process stages
- New recruiter specific dashboard (We love dashboards and so do recruiters.)
Newton requires a modern browser
Some versions of Internet Explorer (IE) are not optimized for the newest web technologies. Most versions of internet browsers are optimized for the new technologies we’ve adopted but there are a couple versions of Internet Explorer that aren’t HTML5 compatible. If you use Chrome, Firefox or Safari you’re all set.
If you’re using an older version of Internet Explorer [“IE”] like IE 8 or 9, you’ll either want to consider using one of the browsers mentioned above or contact your IT team and request that they help you upgrade your version of Internet Explorer to version 10 or higher. They’re likely already anticipating have to make this upgrade.
Newton isn’t the only one suggesting that you upgrade your browser. The US Government is making this same recommendation for security reasons. Read more.
