Popular social messaging service WhatsApp has rolled out a cool new font in the beta versions of the app. The font called FixedSys is similar to what Windows uses in its archaic applications like Notepad.
The users will now be able to use a different font for chatting. However, chatting in the new font is a bit tedious task as the users need to put the their text in three backquote symbols.
For example, to type Hello in FixedSys, type ”’Hello”’.
WhatsApp also offers other interesting features including bold, italics and strikethrough.
Bold: To type your text in bold add an asterisk before and after the specific key words.
For example, *Hello*.
Italics: To type your text in italics add an underscore before and after the specific key words. For example, _Hello_.
Strikethrough: To type your text in strikethrough add a tilde before and after the specific key words. For example, ()Hello().
