Ranveer Singh Alia Bhatt
Among the most popular and talented actors of Bollywood today, Ranveer Singha and Alia Bhatt will be seen together in Zoya Akhtar’s next movie ‘Gully Boy’.
The movie, currently in scripting stage, is based on the life of Mumbai rappers Naezy and Divine, who started out as ‘gully’ rappers from slums of Mumbai. Ranveer will be portraying the role of a ‘gully’ rapper.

Zoya Akhtar spoke about the movie in an interview to Firstpost. “Yes, my next film is inspired by real life street rappers. I watched these kids on the Net and they just blew my mind. I didn’t know that this kind of music was coming out of the lanes and by-lanes of Mumbai. People are so consumed with listening to just film music that nobody pays attention to some serious talent on the streets. That is how it all started.”
Ranveer and Alia have shared screen space although not on the big screen and not in a romantic pairing. Both have appeared together in a series of quirky ads for MakeMyTrip, but will come together for a full-fledged film for the first time in Gully Boy.
