Hyderabad:  Samaikhya Andhra Youth, Students JAC honorary president A Kishore Kumar on Sunday said they would file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the High Court against Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram for not attending to his duties for the last six years.

Speaking to the media here, Kishore Kumar said Prof Kodandaram, who is an employee of Osmania University, has been drawing salary and not attending to his duties for the last six years by making himself busy with agitations. The son of Prof. Kodandaram, who was leading Telangana agitation here, was doing job in America, he added. “We would file a PIL in the High Court against Prof. Kodandaram”, he added.

He also proposed a joint round table of Telangana Students JAC and Samaikhya Andhra Students JAC to resolve the issue and make an appeal to the youth and students not to commit suicides. He reminded that the emotional students were resorting to extreme step in both the regions. Not a single member of political leaders’ families committed suicide for the cause of Telangana. Some political parties have assured to allot a seat to mother of Srikantha Chary, who had committed suicide for Telangana, in the elections, but not implemented it, he pointed out.

Kishore claimed that Andhra Pradesh had dropped to 15th place in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the country due to agitations in both Telangana and Seemandhra regions. “I will also go on fast-unto death, which was planned by Samaikhya Andhra Samithi from July 20 at Indira Park in Hyderabad”, he added.
