Mystery solved! After Jenny McCarthy was unceremoniously dumped from “The View” on June 26, the host enigmatically teased that she had a new gig lined up that would “compete with ‘The View.’ ” It turns out she’s going to talk dirty to us. On Monday, McCarthy revealed she’s signed with SiriusXM radio to host a live, one-hour weekly show, “Dirty, Sexy, Funny With Jenny McCarthy.” The former Playmate promises no-holds-barred chat about “parenting, sex, dating and marriage,” as well as celebrity guests.
One star who’s set for a guest spot is her fiancé, New Kids on the Block member Donnie Wahlberg, as well as her fellow foul-mouthed blond Chelsea Handler, who is leaving her show, “Chelsea Lately.” In a statement from the satellite radio network, McCarthy seemed to hint at frustrations with “The View,” such as sharing a stage and making family-friendly content. “It’s no secret that I love to talk,” said the star. “I’m excited to do it on SiriusXM without having to interrupt anyone or keep things clean.” The show, described as a “limited run,” will begin Wednesday at 6 p.m.

As Elle magazine’s August cover girl, the former “Saturday Night Live” star chats about her upcoming role in the feature film “Welcome to Me.” “I got to a scene where it read, ‘She’s fully naked,’ and I remember thinking: If I do this movie, I have to do this scene, because it’s really important to this script.’ ” No doubt the 40-year-old comedian looks fab.

Awww. James Franco cuddles with a kitten at the animal adoption event Broadway Barks 16, held at Shubert Alley in New York City last weekend. Franco, who arrived with Bernadette Peters, was overheard saying he’d love to adopt his new furry little friend, but already has two cats at home. Also there was Vincent Pastore, planting big kisses on the dogs, we’re told. The annual event was founded by Peters and Mary Tyler Moore and is a star-studded dog and cat event that benefits New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies.

When Beats by Dre created a set of headphones dipped in 24-carat gold for each of the players, they collaborated with Campbell on a photo shoot displaying the gift. The shoot marked the first time Campbell, who wore a gold Tom Ford dress, has worked with fashion photographer Rankin.

BRAFF’S FLUSHED AFTER ROKER TWEET
Zac Braff scrambled to delete a tweet he wrote on Monday that was meant to promote his appearance on “Today” but ended up causing some embarrassment. Braff had hit “send” on a tweet saying he was going to be on the show with the hashtag #AlRokerShartedAtTheWhiteHouse, but deleted it 20 minutes later. He managed to take it down, but not before we took a screen shot of the reference to Roker admitting he had an accident in his pants while at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in 2002.
‘GOSSIP’ PENN’S STILL CENTRAL
Just because “Gossip Girl” went off the air two years ago doesn’t mean young female fans have forgotten Penn Badgley. The actor tried to blend into the crowd at Saturday night’s Jay Z and Beyoncé “On the Run” concert at MetLife Stadium, but as he and new girlfriend Domino Kirke arrived, girls in short shorts clamored for photos. Kirke patiently waited off to the side as Badgley obliged, while her sister, “Girls” star Jemima Kirke, gleefully found their seats in the first few rows.

The “Fast and the Furious” star — who had a super-intense affair with model Cara Delevingne this spring before taking up with actor Zac Efron — had a “platonic” dinner with a friend at Lower East Side hotspot Beauty and Essex on Saturday. “She arrived with a friend around 9:15 p.m.,” said a spy, adding, “nothing romantic was going on between the two — the dinner seemed extremely friendly and platonic.”

Just a few days after going to an Aerosmith concert in New York with his “The Leftovers” co-star Liv Tyler, Justin Theroux touched down at LAX airport with some light baggage. Speaking about his fiancée Jennifer Aniston in the new issue of Details, Theroux said that even though she’s so famous, “It doesn’t feel like a hardship.”
