The Best Resale Value Awards from Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com honor the vehicles that are projected to best retain their value after five years, and Lexus has been the top luxury brand in the awards for nearly that long. For an unprecedented fourth straight year, Lexus beat its competitors to become the Best Luxury Brand, and at the same time, six of its 2015-model-year vehicles topped their respective categories in the 2015 Best Resale Value Awards.

To predict how much a vehicle will retain of its original MSRP after five years of ownership, KBB.com factors in current vehicle data, sales data, segment competition, market conditions, the expected future economy and the collective knowledge of the auto-research site’s team of market and pricing analysts. In addition to Lexus’ Best Luxury Brand award, the all-new Lexus RC 350 debuted at the top of the Entry-Level Luxury Car category, while the Lexus GS 350 and Lexus LS 460 were winners in the Luxury Car and High-End Luxury Car categories, respectively. Another trio of Lexus models were honored in crossover SUV categories, including the Lexus GX 460 as Best Luxury Mid-Size SUV/Crossover, the Lexus LX 570 as Best Luxury Full-Size SUV/Crossover and the Lexus RX 450h as Best Hybrid SUV/Crossover.

“Lexus is unique because it offers industry-leading reliability while boasting some of the most engaging vehicle designs, and that mix of practicality and passion ensures there will be plenty of demand for its pre-owned vehicles down the road,” said Vincent Liuzzi, general manager of Lexus of Watertown, a Massachusetts Lexus dealer. “The fact that an all-new model like the Lexus RC coupe can jump right to the top of its class for an award that focuses on long-term value is a testament to the confidence that KBB.com and car buyers have in the Lexus brand.”

Blending the peace of mind that comes from an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ with a heart-pumping 306-horsepower-producing 3.5-liter V6 engine, the 2015 Lexus RC coupe doesn’t let its crashworthiness detract from its aggressive nature. An oversized spindle grille, angular LED headlamps and L-shaped daytime running lights make a bold statement outside, while a Drive Mode Select knob allows drivers to tailor their ride for optimum performance from inside the cabin. Other standard technology features include steering-wheel-mounted audio, phone and display controls, voice recognition for Bluetooth-compatible phones and the Siri Eyes Free system. Meanwhile, buyers can opt for an all-new Remote Touchpad in the center console, the Lexus Enform App Suite and a voice-activated navigation system.
