Michael Dunn, the Florida man on trial for killing unarmed teen Jordan Davis during an argument over loud music, took to the stand Tuesday and claimed that he had “no choice” but to shoot the teen. During his testimony, Dunn made several statement that caused social media to erupt, calling Davis and his party “gangsters,” crying over the death of his own dog and saying that the teen’s death “just worked out that way.”

Check out what some prominent Twitter users had to say:

Dunn: “My intention was not to end a life…it just worked out that way.” [WORKED OUT THAT WAY?!?!?] #DunnTrial

“You thought everyone in the car was a gangster?” “Yes I did after the way they behaved.” Not obeying a white dude = gangster #dunntrial — Elon James White (@elonjames) February 11, 2014

Michael Dunn cries over a dog, we cry over the death of an unarmed teenager. #JusticeForJordanDavis — Michael Skolnik (@MichaelSkolnik) February 11, 2014

Michael Dunn’s testimony sounds scripted, like it was ripped from a bad 90s hood movie.
