The St. Charles Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred on in the early afternoon of Friday, Aug. 9, at the First Bank located at 2021 Zumbehl Rd.

Police said a preliminary investigation had revealed a female approached the tellers of the First Bank located inside of Dierbergs Store and presented a note to the teller indicating a robbery.  The suspect then left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white female in her mid 30s, about 5-foot 3-inches tall with brown eyes. The suspect was wearing a purple and orange scarf over her head and had on a black long-sleeve shirt, and was wearing glasses.

The suspect left the store and got into the passenger side of an older gold-colored vehicle, possibly a Mercury, which was being driven by a white male. The suspect vehicle had a temporary tag in place of the rear license plate.
