President Maithripala Sirisena says that he will completely support the call for world peace.

The president made this statement when he met with the representatives of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation .

Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, Lassina Zerbo and delegates called on President Sirisena on Saturday morning.

The delegation comprising of members from 13 countries, called on the President following the conclusion of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation workshop.

The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty bans nuclear explosions by everyone, everywhere – on the Earth’s surface, in the atmosphere, underwater and underground and boasts of a membership of 185 countries including Sri Lanka.

President Sirisena had said that as a country committed to world peace, Sri Lanka would support the cause.
