A special transport service is in place for the convenience of pilgrims who will be visiting Anuradhapura for Poson festivities.

Superintendent of Railways L.A.R. Rathnayake said that a special train service will be in operation from Tuesday.

He added that pilgrims will also be able to travel for free during the Poson season from Anuradhapura to Mihinthalaya.

H.M Chandrasiri, chief operations superintendent at the Sri Lanka Transport Board, stated that special bus services are also in place for the convenience of pilgrims.
