The Logan County Marching Cougars had a busy marching day on September 19.

In the afternoon the Band performed at Butler County High School and received third place in the Class 4A competition. That evening, at Russellville’s Festival of Bands at Rhea Stadium, the LCHS Marching Band received second place the Class 4A competition there. They also received the Spirit Award for the Russellville event.

Under the direction of David Dayton and Mandy Beasley, LCHS’ show is called “A Day at the Races.” The show is full of color and movement and music that we all will recognize and appreciate.

Next up for the the Logan County Marching Cougars is their Home Band Show on Saturday, September 26, 2015.

The Home Show will take place on Saturday September 26 at Logan County High School. Opening ceremonies begin at 3:45 and the first band will take the field at 4:15.

There will be 16 bands participating in the LCHS Home Show in classes 1A to 5A; this is double the band attendance of recent shows.

Admission to the event is $5 and concessions will be available.

Lots of hard work will be on display that night, and it is good family friendly entertainment. Come out and support the Logan County Marching Cougars and all the other bands from our area.
