Get your calendars out because we have a solid guide to most of the local beer festivals, both new and old that fill the rest of the summer and seem to run nearly back-to-back through the fall season. From this weekends Vancouver Brewfest and The Bite to the Bend Brewfest, Oktoberfests, Fresh Hop Fests and even a Vegan Beer Fest. With 16 festivals on our calendar from now through October 10th there is no shortage of reasons to get out and drink, still I am sure we missed a few.

Vancouver, Washington - The Vancouver Brewfest is “A Celebration of Craft Beer!”  More than 80 brews to try, great food, fun, art/craft vendors and live music make this the premier event for beer lovers in SW WA.  We recognize beer lovers sometimes have friends that don’t drink beer, so we’re bringing a variety of wine, cider, mead and a Tiki Rum Bar for “those” friends!  Sample for 1 token or get a whole pint for 4 tokens.  $1 per token.  Yes, you did the math correctly, that’s $4 per pint of any beer.  Sample Rum from NW distillers and slide on over to the Tiki Rum bar for an “Island Style” drink! 7th annual Little Woody

Bend, Oregon - The Little Woody Barrel Aged Beer, Cider & Whiskey Fest presented by Bigfoot Beverages was created to commemorate one of Central Oregon’s cultural hallmarks – craft beers. This is a festival for beer lovers and connoisseurs alike!

In the past, brewers served beer that had been aged in oaken casks. Once again, brewers are turning to these historic techniques in order to add depth of flavor to their brews. The Little Woody celebrates this ancient brewing technique as adapted by American craft brewers, featuring beers & ciders aged in wine barrels, whiskey barrels and oak barrels, which uniquely flavors and intensifies the beer. This year we are excited to bring cider into the barrel aged fun! More info at: http://thelittlewoody.com/home/
