[UPDATE] According to the PlayStation Network Service Status page, all services are up and running currently, including the PlayStation Store.

The original story is below.

If you tried to log into the PlayStation Store today, you might have faced an error message. This is not your fault, as Sony has now acknowledged there is a problem and is investigating the matter.

The PlayStation Store is the only affected service listed on the PlayStation Network Service Status page. “You may have some difficulty accessing features and products on the PlayStation Store,” reads an update. “Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”

All aspects of the PlayStation Store are affected across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, including browsing, searching, purchasing, and downloading. GameSpot attempted to sign into the store at around 2:30 PM ET but was not able to.

The PlayStation Store issue comes on the same day that the PS4’s feature-rich 4.00 update arrived, while the FIFA 17 demo also came out today. There is no word if either of those are connected to the problem.

Keep checking back with GameSpot for more, as we’ll update this story as new information becomes available.
