UPDATE @ 7:44 a.m. No injuries are reported after a driver crashed his truck into a utility pole in Troy Sunday morning.
Police at the scene said the male driver was the only person in the car at the time of the crash. Our crew at the scene reports a DP&L crew is at the scene and has since freed the man from his truck. The road will remain closed as crews clean up the scene, according to dispatchers.
UPDATE @ 7:30 a.m. Stanfield Road is closed at West Main Street in Troy as emergency crews respond to a single-car crash. A power pole snapped in half after the driver of a pickup truck crashed and sent power lines to the ground.
Our crew at the scene reports the driver is conscious behind the wheel and is waiting to exit the truck until DP&L crews can remove power lines laying on the vehicle. Initial reports indicate a medic was turned away from the scene and no injuries are reported as a result of the crash. Our crew reports no power appears to be out in the area where the crash occurred.
INITIAL REPORT (Dec.
11) A person is reportedly trapped in a crashed car in Troy Sunday morning, according to initial reports. Police and medics were dispatched to the crash in the 1800 block of West Main Street around 6:30 a.m.
Initial reports indicate a car crashed into a pole and live power lines are laying across the street. Emergency crews are working to remove the person from the car and secure the downed lines, according to scanner traffic. We have a crew heading to the scene to learn more.
