ACCESS DEVICE FRAUD

NEW HOLLAND: Kirsten L Tyson, 21, of Sunbury, was charged Wednesday after she used a family member’s credit/debit card to make unauthorized purchases in the amount of $363.42, police said. Items included purchasing a pizza from Dominos and two cash advances from Western Union. Police said Tyson had numerous warrants for her arrest from other agencies. She was arrested at her home Thursday.

ACCIDENT

CORNWALL BOROUGH: An Akron woman, Adrienne Connelly, 22, was injured Thursday morning when a car she was a passenger in collided with another vehicle on Route 322. Borough police said a vehicle driven by Michelle Musumeci, 43, of Akron, ran into the rear of a truck driven by William Robertson, of Cortland, New York, which then was pushed into the rear of a tractor-trailer. Connelly was a passenger in the Musumeci vehicle and was taken to a hospital. A PennDOT highway crew was working in the area at the time of the accident, police noted.

BURGLARY

LANCASTER: A black and silver EVO scooter was stolen overnight Sunday from a home in the first block of West Frederick Street. EAST COCALICO TWP.: Kyle Paul Seidel, 25, Reading, was charged with six counts of burglary, six counts of criminal conspiracy to commit burglary and seven counts of theft. Police said that on Aug. 20 Seidel, along with possibly two other people, entered unlocked homes in the first block of Jason Avenue and Michael Lane, as well as the first block of Michael Lane in Adamstown Borough. Among the property stolen was electronics and cash. Police said Seidel became a suspect when he was shown on a surveillance camera at a convenience story in Reading using one of the victim s credit cards. LANCASTER TWP.: While a family slept, someone broke into their home early Thursday morning in the 200 block of School House Road. A laptop, iPhone, cash and other items were stolen, The suspect then stole a car, which was later recovered in the park lot of Stone Mill Road.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

NEW HOLLAND: Shawn M. Eller, 31, address unknown, was charged with disorderly conduct and driving under suspension after an altercation Monday at East Jackson Street and South Railroad Avenue, according to authorities. Police ask anyone with information regarding Eller s whereabouts to call them at 354-4647.

DOG CONFINEMENT

EAST COCALICO TWP.: Police say on Sept. 22, a resident of the Denver Heights development was walking their dog past Kelly Boyer’s house in the 100 block of Hawthorne Drive, Denver Borough and Boyer’s dog ran out of the house and attacked the dog, injuring it. East Cocalico Township police said Boyer had been charged on numerous occasions: for failing to keep her dog confined. The charge is a misdemeanor.

DRUG CHARGES

MANHEIM TWP.: Edric Marrero-Cruz, 24, of Flaxen Lane, Ephrata, was charged with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop Wednesday on Route 30 near New Holland Avenue, police said. LANCASTER: Kalex R. Garcia, 38, of the 500 block South Lime Street, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and other offenses after an incident Tuesday night. Police said he was riding a bike and disregarded an officer s commands to stop, attempting to flee. A pursuit ensued and ended in the 300 block of Beaver Street. Garcia ditched his bike and began running on foot before he was stopped. During the chase, he threw an object over a fence. The item was located and was found to be drug paraphernalia, police said.

FIREARM VIOLATION

MANHEIM TWP.: Darien Jacobs, 21, of 400 block of N. Queen St., was charged with two firearms violations after police said a handgun was found under his seat where he was a passenger of a car stopped on North President Avenue Thursday night. He also had an outstanding domestic relations warrant from Delaware County. The driver of the car, Louis Lopez, 20, of the same address at Jacobs, charged with disorderly conduct after he began yelling obscenities at police, Manheim Township police said.

RETAIL THEFT

EAST COCALICO TWP.: Chrystle Muto, 52, of Panorama Drive, Brecknock Township, was charged after police said she was seen leaving Weaver Markets grocery story with $24.20 worth of unpaid merchandise on Sept. 30. Muto attempted to conceal the items in a fabric bag, police said. EAST COCALICO TWP.: Jenni L Williams, 44, of Reinholds, was charged after police said she was seen leaving Weaver Markets with $39.58 in unpaid merchandise on Oct. 12. Williams attempted to conceal the items in a large bag, police said.

SHOTS FIRED

LANCASTER: Police located several shell casings, bullet fragments and bullet impacts in the ground in an alley to the rear of the 500 block of South Prince Street early Thursday.

THEFT

MANHEIM TWP.: Three vehicles belonging to employees of the Country Meadows nursing home were broken into Thursday night. One of the vehicles had a wallet taken that contained cash and credit cards. MANHEIM TWP.: A motorcycle helmet, glasses and gloves were stolen Wednesday afternoon from a motorcycle parked in the 600 block of East Oregon Road. Loss is $310. LANCASTER: A laptop was taken from a vehicle Monday at Woodward and Strawberry streets.

EAST LAMPETER TWP.: Police said that at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, a man caught on a surveillance camera entered the HACC Library and stole a Android smartphone from a student using a computer. The suspect left the campus in a silver Mazda sedan with tinted windows.

THEFT CHARGES

LANCASTER: Jasmine S. Jefferson, 22, of the 200 block of Chestnut Street, Columbia, was charged after being observed removing seven items from display and concealing them in her clothes Wednesday at Spencer Gift, Park City Center, according to police.
