Sample ballots for the upcoming November 6, 2012 General Election are now available online. Click on “My Voter Information Page” in the upper right hand corner to view your sample ballot, check your registration, find your polling place, or track your absentee ballot. You may also view all sample ballot styles here. Click on “2012 General Election”, scroll down and select “sample ballots”.

Each voter will receive a 14-inch ballot made up of a Card A and a Card B. The candidates are listed on the front of Card A with the Constitutional Amendments beginning on the back of Card A and continuing onto Card B. The County Questions will be found on the back of Card B. In the appropriate precincts, the High Springs and Archer municipal elections will follow on the back of Card B. An annexation question will also appear on the back of Card B for Precinct 40 voters in the area of potential Gainesville annexation.

Voters are encouraged to begin to study their ballots now as it may take up to 30 minutes just to read the ballot. The League of Women Voters has prepared a non-partisan guide that includes the proposed State Constitutional Amendments with both pro and con information presented.

All Alachua County voters were sent new voter information cards in July. Some precincts have been changed and some polling places are no longer being used. Please check your card for your correct assignment, visit our website, or contact our office if you did not receive your card.

Tuesday, October 9 is the deadline to register to vote in this election!

Voters are encouraged to update their signature and registration information if there has been any change. You may accomplish this online, by visiting our office at 111 SE 1st Avenue, or by giving us a call at 352-374-5252.
