The public is invited to attend free FAFSA and scholarship workshops for the 2015-2016 school year, which will take place at four of the Joliet Junior College campuses this February and March.



The FAFSA form is required to apply for any type of government financial aid.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is required to apply for any type of government financial aid, including Pell grants and direct student loans, which students and parents can learn more about during the workshops.

Parents and students who need help filling out the FAFSA online can also receive free professional assistance at the workshops. No appointment is necessary, and English/Spanish translators will be available. Habrá alguien que hable español para asistir y contestar cualquier pregunta.

In addition to the FAFSA, each workshop will include information about scholarships available to JJC students for the 2015-2016 school year. A JJC ID is required to apply for scholarships. The deadline to apply for most JJC scholarships is April 1.

To file a 2015-2016 FAFSA, please bring copies of the following to the workshops:

2014 federal income tax forms

Copies of your W-2s

All other income documentation
