The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has named Clark University a winner in the 2015 CASE District I Excellence Awards Program. Clark received a silver award for its undergraduate admissions information session video, “Moments: A four-year journey through the eyes of actual Clark University students.”
According to CASE, there were 28 entries in the video category. Sixty-six schools submitted entries for the Excellence program, and a total of 102 awards were given.
“Moments” is a first person point-of-view video played during the information session for prospective students and their families before they take a tour of campus. The video is shot through the eyes of four Clark students, and begins with their graduations and reverses back in time to when they were first in an information session — sitting in the same room as the viewer. It includes shots many of the most iconic moments in a Clark student’s life, from Commencement to “Dancing Under the Stars,” from studying abroad to doing research in a lab, participating in Spree Day, eating at Annie’s Clark Brunch, turning in a final paper, etc.

Skyscope Creative, a company formed by alumni Alex Dunn, Gabe Gerzon, and Sam Shepler, all members of the class of 2011, created the video for Clark. Senior Joel Helander composed the original score.
“We’re pleased that CASE has recognized our efforts to set an exciting and high-energy tone for prospective students and their families as they prepare to tour the Clark campus,” said Paula David, vice president of marketing and communications at Clark. “The video shakes up the typical college visit routine and sets the University apart, helping students imagine themselves here. I want to congratulate Clark’s marketing and communications and admissions teams, as well as our Skyscope Creative alumni, for their work on this project.”
CASE District I annually bestows its Excellence Awards on individuals and schools doing innovative work in the fields of special events, fundraising, stewardship, volunteer engagement, alumni relations, student alumni initiatives, advancement services, and communications.
