KnowU Online Community Facilitates Collaboration
Boston, MA – June 16, 2014 – A new partnership between Harrison College and Cengage Learning, a leading education company, brings the KnowU online learning environment to career schools and higher education institutions to create a sense of community for online learners. Created by Harrison College, KnowU motivates and engages online learners through collaboration which is often challenging for institutions to facilitate in an online setting.

KnowU is centered around three core components: Learning, Community and Support.
Learning – KnowU helps students understand themselves and offers learning resources in a variety of formats based on student preferences.
Community – KnowU connects online students with their peers through social media capabilities for facilitated discussion groups, hosted networking forums, news feeds and connections to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Support – KnowU provides direct access to personalized internal institutional support, hot topics, financial aid, course information, FAQs, and also to external career resources.

KnowU has capabilities for customization and integration with third party platforms so that students can access course information and track program progress. Under the terms of the agreement, Cengage Learning is an exclusive agent to market and sell KnowU in the U.S.
